Back to the Windy City
(and boy, was it ever!).

At least it was warm enough this trip for
Buckingham Fountain to be running.

Can't visit Chicago without eating pizza!
(We like
Giordano's.)

Another visit to the Art Institute.
(Not as rushed this time -- yay!)

Among their treasures is Chagall's three
stained glass "
American Windows."

Whoa! A Delaunay Eiffel too.
(They keep turning up!)

VJ tours the Glessner House,
a lovely Arts & Crafts residence downtown.

Robin drags VJ to the Holography Museum.
(And she loved it...)

SUE! SUE! The world's largest and
most complete T. Rex dinosaur.
(VJ was determined to see her.)

Dinner in Greektown at Pegasus restaurant
(thanks to a tip from Dave Field).
Yanni ate here!

To take in a little nightlife, we saw
a
one-man show about Buckminster Fuller.

Meet Ron Campbell, who got a standing ovation
for his portrayal of Bucky.
(He's a founding member of The Actors' Gang
in Los Angeles -- isn't that a hoot?)

The world-famous Chicago Navy Pier!

The pier was built on Lake Michigan in 1916,
and combined the business of shipping
with the pleasure of public entertainment.

VJ's been dying to visit the FREE Smith
Museum of Stained Glass Windows
at the pier.
(With 150 different windows on display,
it was better than some pricey museums!)

Robin was taken with this rare Belcher
patented stained glass technique
.
(Ask him -- he'll gladly tell you how they did it.)
